Caulfield House | Pleysier Perkins ArchitectsMelbourne, VIC, Australia
Caulfield House is the renovation of an existing Melbourne Bungalow.
Designed by architects Pleysier Perkins, Caulfield House draws inspiration from the gabled roof form, to create the illusion of space throughout the house.
In concept, the timber lining boards of the rear gable are extruded out towards the backyard, drawing the plaster ceiling along with it.
The handcrafted hard plastering of the existing house transitions into the more refined finish of the new plasterboard offering a display of varying effects of light and shadow, both subtle and dynamic.
