About New York based studio, APARATUS

In exploring the intersection of light, furniture and objects, the studio focuses on immersive environments and the weight of history and culture through the lens of modernisation.

Creative Director Gabriel Hendifar finds inspiration in the modernist principle of a total work of art and articulates the studio to constantly change. He draws on desire, emotional response and the things that live within spaces.

The studio’s distinct repertoire embraces sensual materials and porcelain while continusing a tradition of craftsmanship, hand-finished ensembles.

Featured globally, APARATUS was founded in 2012 by Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson and maintains showrooms in New York and Milan.
