About

Sustainable Building Design

Join Tim Adams from F2 Design and the Boroondara Council and learn how environmentally responsible and resource-efficient features can naturally and beautifully be integrated into your home’s design.

Tim will walk you through the 10 star housing design process and introduce you to the concept of ‘The House with no Bills’. Whether planning a new build or a renovation, you will leave with a better understanding of how to integrate sustainable design principles into your plans, from orientation to construction and operation to maintenance.

Tim is a building designer specialising in combining high performing, environmentally sensitive houses with beautiful architecture. He is the ex-president of the Building Designers Association Victoria (BDAV) and his own house, ‘The House with no Bills’, has been featured in magazines including The Alternative Technology Association’s ReNew magazine. F2 Design was Joint Winner of the BDAV 10 Star Sustainable Design Challenge in 2012 and finalist in 2013 and 2014.

This workshop is part of the ‘Living for our Future Program’, a community sustainable living initiative of the City of Boroondara. Stay up to date about future events and resources by visiting our Living for our Future webpage or by signing up for our e-newsletter.
