Held at the Institute of Architects WA Chaper, this event will be hosted by Daniel Gudsell, founder of Abode Wood Ltd. This company is has won the Green Ribbon Award New Zealand and the Sustainable Business Award, New Zealand.

Daniel will discuss different types of timber modification and the sustainable use of certified plantation timbers that make up those products. He will also cover thermally modified timber, the processes involved, technical benefits of the product and the reasons why he believes it will be a more stable and durable choice of timber in the future.

This event will provide utility in understanding why wood modification is an increasingly popular technology. It will illustrate the advantages of different wood modification types and useful information for why the most prevalent wood modification is thermal modification.
