Upon entering the refreshing haven of Lighting Collective’s Byron Bay showroom, guests are greeted by striking statement light fittings that give glimpses of the glowing treasures within. The space’s white-washed walls and pared-back styling reveals an atmosphere of ease and sophistication that underlies the company, now in its 11th year.

Having lit up the industry for over a decade, Lighting Collective has undergone a metamorphosis that aligns with the evolution of many vendors in the digital age. From its beginnings as a traditional brick-and-mortar storefront to a predominantly online ecommerce experience as the business grew, the brand has redefined its presence with the unveiling of a newly refurbished showroom that facilitates immersive tactile interaction with its products and personal relationships with its valued customers.

With both the company’s headquarters and showroom grounded in the fertile soils of Byron Bay, Lighting Collective has built a strong identity locally and across the country with its carefully curated selection of luxury lighting.

With both the company’s headquarters and showroom grounded in the fertile soils of Byron Bay, Lighting Collective has built a strong identity locally and across the country with its carefully curated selection of luxury lighting. Characterised by a resolute focus on quality design and lighting education, the company’s intent with its new showroom was to offer a place of unbounding inspiration. Serving as an oasis of experience, the destination is a meeting place for architects, designers and aficionados alike to view the extensive collection and pore over their visions with lighting professionals.

Born of 18 months’ planning and developing, Lighting Collective found inspiration internally, designing and building the space in-house. Enjoying peace in its refined geometry and calm ambience, the resulting space sits in stately repose, its canvas animated by the twinkling lights that encompass Lighting Collective’s favourite and most loved products.

Outfitted sparingly in natural textures of rattan, timber and stone, the creamy cane palette is befitting of its Byron Bay setting and allows the luminant collection to take centrestage.

The depth and scale of the showroom is emphasised with white walls that stretch from its polished concrete floor to the blackened ceiling. Implying an endless expanse of space above, lights decadently drip from the darkness like stars of the night sky. Outfitted sparingly in natural textures of rattan, timber and stone, the creamy cane palette is befitting of its Byron Bay setting and allows the luminant collection to take centrestage. Brightly blossoming orbs and an exhilarating array of shapely chandeliers that range from modern minimalist to curiously conceptual adorn the walls, whilst a series of staggered plinths arise throughout, topped with luscious table lamps that highlight the capacity of lighting pieces to stun as standalone décor.

Sourced from both local and international designers, Lighting Collective services the nation with an impressive portfolio of curated designs. Spanning a showcase of established to emerging styles, common across the range is an inherent endeavour for quality and excellent client care. Grounded by its customers, the company aims to offer a seamless lighting experience that incorporates lighting specification and consultation services as well as a trade loyalty program and assistance bringing commercial and large-scale projects to light. Solidified by its tangible presence, the company’s new showroom is an all-encompassing expression defining what Lighting Collective stands for – its radiant offerings and its grasp on illuminating the industry.
