120 Years Wittmann – It all started with a saddlery in the rural Kamptal between Wachau and Vienna. Franz Wittmann knew how to choose his partners. The architect Johannes Spalt, supported him in the selection of designers and enabled Wittmann to obtain the rights for the designs of the renowned architect Josef Hoffmann who, long before the Bauhaus, brought modernity to the furnishings of the Viennese bourgeoisie. Hoffmann’s designs ensure you can clearly recognise what makes a “genuine Wittmann”. They show character without being intrusive: something special with charm. The handcrafted production at the manufactory in Etsdorf, ensure high standards of quality, as well as incomparable seating comfort, providing durability that is worth being passed on.
