Architectural aspects of the Mid Century Modern project were designed by Melbourne Ben Robertson (Director of Tecture) for Mim Design Studio, and is located in the Victorian suburb of North Caulfield. Mid Century Modern is a redesign of a mid century home that has been manipulated over time and lost the majority of its soul and identity. It features interior design from Melbourne based interior designers Mim Design.
Ben Robertson was able to increase volumes by extending the home outwards whilst maintaining a sympathetic approach to the essence of the original home. The new plan creates defined zones via a consolidated alignment. Existing entry materials and skylights were maintained, and fascia’s were replicated, to give this home a new life that blends seamlessly.
