Princess Hill, VIC, Australia
The Princess Hill house maximises natural light and flow throughout each space.
Restricted by a small site, architect and designers Tom Robertson renovated an existing Melbourne Terrace house into an open and warm space, comfortable for the owners to enjoy private time, or spend quality time with friends and family.
Designers created a raised roof structure which allows for each living space to be flooded with an abundance of natural light throughout the house – creating the idea of height and space.
Featuring an open planned living, dining and kitchen area; which is subtly divided by an existing fireplace, the open space maximises natural light and easy flow through from each room throughout.
Skylights have also been featured throughout the home, to allow for additional natural light throughout the day, reducing the need to use electric lighting.
This old terrace house has been given a new lease on life, with a simple and easy design throughout to lasts the ages.
