Establishing TOMAWAWK Studios whilst studying, Tomek’s earliest furniture designs were recognised by the Australian Financial Review, nominating Campfire Table (2002) in the top 20 Australian designs of all time, alongside the Holden Monaro and furniture by Marc Newson.
Campfire Table received a Good Design Australia ‘Design Mark,’ and is licensed in Europe by Roethlisberger who launched the table in Milan in 2012. Tomek joined Wallpaper* Handmade during Milan Design Week 2016, a touring exhibition that features at other design weeks.
Also an award-winning architect – Tomek received the 2012 SOYA award for architecture and interiors, and is listed in Wallpaper* Magazine architecture directory. Founding Archer Office in 2014 – current projects include Lendlease, a shopping centre in Victoria, and numerous private residential commissions. Tomek also designs furniture for Australian web-based, flat pack brand NOMI.

Nick and Sarah met whilst studying Industrial Design at university (UTS ) at a time Australian designers were looking for overseas companies to represent their furniture designs. Establishing DesignByThem in 2007, the duo aimed to create an Australian design brand that represented Australian talent, with collaboration core to their design ethos.
DesignByThem drive appreciation for original Australian design through accessible products with personality; products that are made to last. Striking a balance between fun and function, the furniture, lighting and accessory collection is curated and considered, innovative but not forced, and importantly – useful and enjoyable – being sensitive to both time and to the environment.
The company has worked with architecture and interior design firms across the globe including Hassell, Woods Bagot and HOK as well as selling direct to consumer homes. Including the inhouse collaborations between the co-founders, Sarah and Nick have worked alongside notable Australian names including Stefan Lie, Tommy Cehak, Trent Jansen, Seaton Mckeon, Tom
Fereday and Jon Goulder.

Brit-born Michael Young quickly became a sought after designer, his work represented at retailers and institutions such as The Conran Store and Pompidou Museum not long after graduating Kingston University in 1992.
Relocating to Hong Kong in 2006, Michael has studios in Belgium, Hong Kong and Sydney, and uses design to innovate brands; recognised as a sophisticated minimalist, acclaimed for an elegant pared-back design aesthetic.
Highly decorated and holding a prolific brand catalogue, a stellar client roster includes Absolut Vodka, Cathay Pacific, Cappellini, Lacoste, Magis, MOKE and Laurent Perrier – to list but a few brands he’s worked with in the past 20 years.
