Introducing The Local Project's Marketplace of Local Australian Design

Words by Liz Barrett

The Local Project proudly celebrates all that our local designers, industry leaders and emerging artisans have to offer. From our initial inception, we have been inundated with enquiries from our community as to where they can source the very best Australian design.

The Marketplace was created to directly connect our community with talented local designers, artisans and makers, and to access authentic Australian designer pieces in one place.

“We are delighted to continue our support of the local design industry with the launch of The Local Project Marketplace,’’ says founder and director Aidan Anderson. “We have seen first-hand the dramatic shift as people are turning away from mass-produced items and embracing local and homegrown design. We are thrilled to be able to give our community direct access to small-batch designer goods and offer local designers a unique opportunity to showcase their creations to a global audience.”

We aim to give designers and makers a global platform to showcase their latest collections and promote local talent. This collaboration will be the first of many, with a bevy of local independent designers and collaborators joining the marketplace in the coming months.
