Marking Tait’s first collaboration with Melbourne designer Nancy Ji, the Lily Tray Tables – an exquisite illustration of luxury modern outdoor tables – was the winning design of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Design Award by Broadsheet. Blending the functions of both tray and table and conceptualised from the lily pad – one will never be enough of the Lily Tray Table.
Blending the functions of both tray and table and conceived to enhance the outdoor dining experience and conceptualised from the lily pad – the Lily Tray Table showcases an elegant circular form and a contemporary aesthetic.
The novel design incorporates a lily pad-inspired tray manufactured with lightweight aluminium that is removable from a separate table base, allowing the user to transport food and drink outside.
The stainless steel table base features a second circular shelf to provide additional storage for ice buckets, decanters and bottles. Smaller than the tray, the shelf is sheltered while a fine band ensures further securement for its contents.
The Lily Tray Table can be selected as either a Side Table or Coffee Table, further reinforcing its practicality and sophistication as a lifestyle essential for both residential and commercial contexts. Striking as a stand-alone piece, the tables can also be nested together.
