SJB is a multidisciplinary design practice embracing architecture, interior design, town planning and urban design. With studios in Melbourne and Sydney, the firm shares an ambition to make cities, town and buildings better places to live.

The interior design practice of SJB based in Melbourne has built a body of award-winning, and internationally recognised work.  The Melbourne practice is led by founding director Andrew Parr and directors Ljiljana Gazevic and Leo Terrando. Their studio adopts a continually explorative and interrogative approach, working across disciplines to propose solutions that encompass a deeper understanding of design.

Each project and client relationship is taken as an opportunity to explore the values and behaviours of its users and respond in a way that supports and encourages growth.

SJB Interiors believes design has a responsibility to add positively to the quality of the lives that take place in and around them and the environments they occupy. Understanding and having experience in servicing all elements, the team sees the interconnectedness as an obligation in their design considerations to both activate and enhance spaces.

Through a broader understanding and appreciation of design, all comprising materials, volumes and resulting spatial relationships are tailored to respond to an individual approach. Inspired by travel, nostalgic cues, historical references, nature and international trends, SJB Interiors approaches each new project as an open conversation, responding, listening and adapting to the varying needs and opportunities presented. First and foremost, the intent is to create imaginative, bold, fresh, energising and comfort-driven spaces, encouraging of interaction and supporting an enhanced experience of place.

Andrew Parr design philosophy is “inspired by travel, nostalgic cues, historical references, nature and international trends, SJB approaches each new project as an open conversation, responding, listening and adapting to the varying needs and opportunities presented.”
