Complete renovation of a 1910 Californian bungalow creates a modern family Home for Kelly and Daniel and their 2 small boys. A 1910 californian bungalow that required a complete renovation to suit modern family life.
The new layout of the extension to the kitchen, family and dining room took careful planning to incorporate a generous ‘wow’ kitchen, family lounge area and dining table for 8 people.
A custom joinery unit incorporates a banquette and wine unit.
This allowed a better use of space and flow by pushing the dining table against the wall. The custom joinery here provided a better sense of calm luxury and connection of finishes with the kitchen.
Finishes in this compact space were kept to a minimal and used for wow factor. White fantasy stone for the kitchen with black matt birch ply joinery doors and the Tasmanian oak battens which conceal a butlers pantry and link with the oak timber floors.
Bathrooms all have a sense of being in a luxury hotel.
The darker palette used for the master suite to evoke a sense of calm.
