In its design, Casa Luna takes inspiration from the moon and becomes a geometric reinterpretation of its form. Biasol Studio ensures a cohesive curvilinear expression throughout, ushering movement throughout the spaces and softening the interior through enhancing natural light.

Enlivened through an open sensibility, Casa Luna sits comfortably within its leafy Melbourne surrounds. The new home balances a generosity of form and immersion within a formalised zen landscape. Ensuring the correct energy flow had been integrated into the home’s function, a Feng Shui consultant was engaged early in the process to inform planning, connections and the internal arrangement of elements on the site. From a holistic perspective, Biasol Studio aligns and integrates an immersive palette to ground the home in place whilst carving a unique retreat.

Looking upwards for inspiration, the moon influenced the integration of glazing elements into the roof and ceiling plane. The natural satellite and its orbit are mirrored in several areas of the home’s design, embedding a subtle softness among the more linear gestures. The colour of the moon further inspires an integration of greyscale tones and textures throughout, instilling an overall sense of calm.

From the initial interaction with the home – and throughout the bedrooms and intimate spaces – a shared generosity binds the internal spaces. Enhancing the feeling of disconnection, the scale of elements and their engagement with one another become a celebration of space and privacy. With a heightened approach to finishes, the bathroom spaces add an element of the unexpected – either darkly immersive or blush in tone. The open and shared living areas then bleed into one another and ensure a connection outward is a theme throughout the home’s spaces.

Casa Luna emerges as a soft yet defined home with a considered sense of flow. Biasol Studio combines a sense of drama with tranquillity to create a versatile home fit for retreat and relaxation.
