Armadale 3
by Pleysier Perkins Architects
Armadale 3 is a fresh conceptual design to an existing Victorian home in Melbourne.
First renovated thirteen years ago by Pleysier Perkins, designers were asked to come back ten years after project completion, to create a second storey addition and renovation to the existing property.
In collaboration with Interior Designers Hecker Guthrie, works to the home included the adding of a new master bedroom suite on top of the kitchen and living wing. This new addition opened-up city views from the elevated position of the bedroom and terrace.
It was testament to the original design that the logic of the original plan remained relatively intact, with a change to the interface of living, laundry and carport areas to better suit the new owners’ lifestyles.
The result of the new renovations to this grand double fronted Victorian home in Armadale, is a luxurious and modern contemporary design throughout – with plenty of space and light.
