Haberfield House is part of Greg Natale’s breathtaking collection of stylish local Australian interior design projects across Sydney.
Situated in Sydney’s Inner West, the extensively refurbished Haberfield House plays home to a family of four. Originally a single-level Edwardian brick bungalow, Greg Natale Design was engaged to steer the extensive refurbishment of the four bedroom home, which included adding a three storey extension to the rear of the property.
Commanding a large elevated corner block, a great deal of restorative and structural work was required in updating the original home. From intricate, stunning new plaster ceilings to multiple new marble bathrooms that sensitively acknowledged its Edwardian charm whilst seamlessly flowing from front to back, from traditional to new. The starting point for the home’s scheme was the couple’s much loved, 20-year-old Italian dining table and chairs. The strength in the tone of the cherrywood inspiring a subdued palette that is balanced with dove greys and pops of malachite green. Tan leather and graphic Greg Natale rugs serve as accent accessories and contribute to the cohesive result.
