The company, which has 15 galleries around the country, engenders that at every turn by designing affordable, high-quality luxury furniture that infuses a home with a distinctly bold character.
The Kelly range of ottomans, swivel chairs and sofas comes in a kaleidoscope of rich velvet hues, from beige and black to peacock blue and emerald.
Koala Living’s pieces embody sophistication, exclusivity and a sense of refined opulence. Those characteristics define everything from decorative objects such as clocks, mirrors, rugs, lighting and artworks to larger furniture pieces for living and dining rooms as well as bedrooms. One of the newest ranges, Marbella, instils a highly cultured character by combining white Calacatta marble with brushed-gold frames. The Marbella Cold Calacatta White Sintered Stone Sideboard is a stand-out: a statement piece that melds functionality and art.
The Archie range of tables is equally opulent, and embraces black as a hue that embodies modernity. The Archie Black Sintered Stone Dining Table, designed by Emily McAlister, is thoroughly contemporary, with sculptural column legs. Velvet features strongly in the Koala Living world, displayed nowhere better than the Kelly range of ottomans, swivel chairs and sofas, in a kaleidoscope of rich velvet hues, from beige and black to peacock blue and emerald. Metallic bases and legs lift the luxe quotient. The Stellan Occasional Chair – in velvet and woven fabric options, with metallic or timber legs – brings a comfortable aesthetic to any room.
The company’s in-house design team, based in Melbourne, is given plenty of opportunity to travel and attend trade shows and fairs in Europe to find inspiration, sourcing the best fabrics and finishes for Koala Living’s collections. Keeping a close eye on the biggest trends in design and architecture is also paramount. “As an idea-driven powerhouse, we thrive on a combination of vision and intuition, aiming to bring the future into the present,” says Tori.
