Description
The Incisa swivel office chair, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1992, is a timeless piece for both home and office use. Its leather upholstery is inspired by a horse saddle, with hand-stitching that highlights Italian craftsmanship. The chair features soft, curved lines that provide comfort and support. Beautiful from every angle, the Incisa chair is available in two versions: one with a four-star fixed base and the other with a five-star swivel base on castors.
Swivel four-spoke base: polished chrome-plated or matt black powder-coated steel. Thermoplastic feet.
Swivel five-spoke base and castors: polished chrome-plated or matt black powder-coated steel. Swivel castors in thermoplastic material, with safety brake.
Frame: rigid polyurethane.
Padding: variable-density polyurethane foam and polyester wadding covered with light polyester velvet.
Exterior shell: full grain, vegetable-tanned and aniline-dyed cowhide.
Cover: interior cover (seat cushion and back) in leather or fabric, removable with zipper.
Vico Magistretti (1920–2006) was an influential Italian designer and architect known for his minimalist yet functional approach to design. His work spanned furniture, industrial design, and architecture, blending clean lines with innovative materials.
Magistretti’s designs, such as the iconic Eclisse lamp and the Maralunga sofa, are celebrated for their timeless elegance and practicality. Throughout his career, he received numerous awards, solidifying his place as a key figure in 20th-century design.
Fabrication: De Padova’s collection contains more than 25 styles of fabric and leather, with many colour ways of each style. Own fabric can be supplied upon request.
