The Bayview
Focusing on family life, The Bayview reflects the evolution of high-end residential design. Crafted by Belle Casa Interiors, the project combines elevated aesthetics with enhanced durability.
Located in the waterfront suburb of Hollywell, close to Paradise Point, The Bayview prioritises long-term comfort. “The brief was to create a family-friendly home with an industrial edge,” says Baden Behrens, owner and lead designer at Belle Casa Interiors. “It had to be practical in the context of everyday life but also visually refined.” Responding to the environment on a surface and structural level, the featured materials will maintain a consistent expression for decades to come. “High-end residential design used to centre on grandeur and opulence, but now it is more geared towards the family,” says Chai Hurley, design sales manager at Cosentino. “Children are staying at home for longer, so there has been increasing importance placed on practicality alongside aesthetics.” In The Bayview, this adjustment gives rise to a synergy of calming tones and textures that continue from its facade to its interiors and outdoor entertainment areas. The resulting home features cohesive spaces that encourage indoor-outdoor living.
To strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality, Belle Casa Interiors applied Cosentino’s Dekton – an ultra-compact porcelain – throughout the home. “The advantage of using Dekton is that it looks and feels like natural stone, but it’s impervious to staining and can resist extreme heat,” says Behrens. “It is well-suited to alfresco kitchens and effortlessly complements the interior design, uniting each space.” The Bayview’s exterior is clad in Dekton Polar, a reimagination of Campaspero limestone. Presenting a warm beige surface with cream and grey veining, the material reflects some of the sunlight, cooling the rooms within. Its high UV resistance ensures that its colours will not fade over time.
“Belle Casa Interiors is very familiar with Dekton and makes a compelling showcase of its applications,” says Hurley. “By exploring the different thicknesses within the range, they have been able to select the highest performing product for each part of the house.” Thick Dekton Nebu strengthens the kitchen, living room feature wall, shelving and outdoor barbecue area, while thinner Dekton Marmorio adorns the bathrooms and laundry room. The pairing creates a subtle tonal shift across interiors.
Crafted for longevity, The Bayview allows everyday life to play against a background of durable materials. Employing the Dekton range with confidence, Belle Casa Interiors establishes an elegant residence that puts family at the forefront of luxury living.
