Pearl Arc Kitchen Sinks
The kitchen sink is elevated to a conversational centrepiece with the launch of Abey’s new collection, which offers versatility, longevity and a range of striking finishes.
Family-owned Australian kitchen and bathroom company Abey has launched a new range of technology- and design-driven kitchen sinks. The Piazza Pearl Arc series incorporates the most recent cathodic arc surface treatment innovations, which bring both added longevity and beauty.
The sinks in the Pearl Arc collection are made with premium-gauge SUS304 stainless steel and are available in three finishes – Black Pearl, Artisan Copper and Eureka Gold – to complement a range of interior aesthetics and designs. Each sink undergoes Pearl Arc Finish, a three-step process that establishes durability and enables easy cleaning. The first step is shot peening, whereby mixed-material micro-beads are fired into the stainless-steel surface to establish compressive stress. This creates a harder, more durable surface that is scratch-and impact-resistant.
A hard-wearing, coloured titanium oxide layer coats each sink: solid titanium metal is vaporised in vacuum conditions, then applied to the sink surface, leaving a metal coating. In the final step, a nano-resin hydrophobic active substance is layered on top to create a durable, thin protective coating, enabling easy cleaning.
Along with a trio of finishes, customers can also choose from several sink configurations and shapes. The series is available with single large and smaller rectangular or square bowls, double square bowls and one-and-three-quarter square bowls. Undermount and top-mount installations are options, too, while each sink comes with a matching drain tray and protective grid.
This versatility is inherent to the collection: the range of colour options, configurations and dimensions ensures that each sink will slot into a diverse array of interior styles. The black, gold and copper finishes are striking while remaining neutral enough to complement myriad kitchen designs.
