As an official outfitter of the tournament since 2021, Ralph Lauren blends iconic design, heritage and performance to capture the electrifying spirit of the Australian Open 2026.

Tennis has always been about the story as much as the game. “There’s a sense of history, a sense of ritual to it,” says Aidan Anderson, founder and CEO of The Local Project. “It’s a sport where the environment is as present as the game.”

“The brand has always blended heritage with lifestyle, a kind of timelessness that feels both familiar and quietly evolving.”

That idea sits at the heart of Ralph Lauren’s longstanding relationship with the Australian Open. For 2026, the brand returns as the official outfitter for the sixth consecutive year, once again dressing up to 4,000 staff across the tournament – from ball kids and on-court officials to ground crew – while continuing as the official sunglasses partner for the second year running.

Visiting the Ralph Lauren Sydney store, surrounded by pieces from the 2026 Australian Open collection, Anderson reflects on why the partnership feels so natural. “The brand has always blended heritage with lifestyle, a kind of timelessness that feels both familiar and quietly evolving… When I think about Ralph Lauren, it’s the values that stand out before anything else. The attention to detail and appreciation for place, and a commitment to craft that’s carried through generations.”

“The relationship between Ralph Lauren and the Australian Open is built on shared values: heritage, longevity and a deep, deep respect for considered design.”

In the 2026 Ralph Lauren Australian Open collection, classic silhouettes are paired with performance fabrics designed for the Australian summer. The range spans polos, lightweight outerwear, hats, shoes, accessories and commemorative towels, while a significant portion incorporates recycled fibres. “The sustainability choice is subtle, but very meaningful,” he says. “They speak to long-term thinking rather than a trend.”

Beyond the court, Ralph Lauren’s presence extends into the wider experience of the Australian Open. Just steps from Rod Laver Arena, the brand’s hospitality suite brings a welcome moment of tranquility amid the action. Attending the space last year, Anderson notes that, “it offered a moment of calm within the energy of the day. It was really a space that reflected the same sense of refinement and intention that defines the brand itself.”

The partnership is also part of a broader global story. “Ralph Lauren’s presence at Wimbledon, the US Open and other sporting icons, ties all these moments together,” says Anderson. “There’s a lineage, a recognition of how design, sport and culture can intersect over many, many decades.”

Ultimately, it’s the values that make the partnership so successful and enduring. “The relationship between Ralph Lauren and the Australian Open is built on shared values: heritage, longevity and a deep, deep respect for considered design,” he says. This is what resonates long after the tournament itself has come to an end.
