Designed by Shaun Lockyer, the architecture responds intuitively to its coastal context, prioritising orientation, airflow and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. Living areas are arranged to frame expansive views while maintaining a sense of retreat, with transitions between inside and out softened through deep overhangs, sliding planes and textured materiality.
A restrained palette of concrete, timber and stone anchors the home, allowing light and shadow to become defining elements throughout the day. Private zones are subtly separated from communal spaces, creating moments of pause and privacy without disrupting the home’s overall openness. Landscaping is integrated as an extension of the architecture, reinforcing a resort-like atmosphere that feels both grounded and understated.
