One of Australia’s most prestigious jewellers, Musson has returned to Sydney’s North Shore with the opening of its reimagined Chatswood Chase Flagship – a 300-square-metre showroom spanning two light-filled levels. The boutique marks a meaningful homecoming for a jeweller long associated with exceptional craftsmanship and meticulously handcrafted pieces.

The interiors balance luxury with the warmth and approachability that define Musson’s Australian character.

The ground floor is conceived as a contemporary gallery, serving as the primary stage for discovery. Here, the jewellery is the focus within a calm, elegant setting where lighting and materiality have been carefully selected to enhance the brilliance of each gem. On the floor above, the atmosphere shifts to something more intimate and private. The upper level has been envisioned as a residential-like sanctuary designed for unhurried connection – a space where clients can more deeply immerse themselves in the Musson experience and collaborate on bespoke creations.

Created in partnership with Emilie Delalande of Studio Etic, the interiors balance luxury with the warmth and approachability that define Musson’s Australian character. A neutral palette, tactile materials, transparent feature walls and hand-finished metals provide a refined backdrop for the jewellery, while the defining architectural gesture, a sculptural staircase combining Marmorino with a reflective bronze-toned finish, creates a seamless transition between the two levels.

The family-owned house has shaped the country’s jewellery landscape for more than five decades.

The Chatswood Chase Flagship arrives during a period of significant evolution for the brand. Over the past year, Musson has also unveiled its Grand Boutique and Workshop within Sydney’s historic Queen Victoria Building. While the QVB location celebrates heritage and classicism with arches and geometry inspired by the iconic building, the Chatswood Chase boutique offers a contemporary counterpart, with curved seating and a rich palette. Together, but in their own unique way, the two reimagined boutiques embody the brand story, one where tradition meets innovation.

Founded in 1972 by Robert and Kerry Musson, the family-owned house has shaped the country’s jewellery landscape for more than five decades, an achievement reflected in its status as an Argyle Pink Diamond Select Atelier. With Co-CEO’s Olivar and Catherine Musson now directing the business, Musson continues to build on a legacy of craftsmanship while embracing a highly distinctive, future-forward approach to bespoke jewellery design.
