A new collection from ASKO continues the Swedish brand’s heritage of creating exceptional laundry care appliances, marked by distinctive Scandinavian aesthetics and craftsmanship.
For more than 75 years, ASKO’s innovative appliances have elevated the laundry experience across the globe. But the company began with a simple act of love. In 1950s Sweden, a young farmer, Karl-Erik Andersson, wanted to ease his mother’s workload after seeing how arduous it was to wash laundry by hand. He invented a machine that not only had a built-in water heater but could also spin and clean. Not long after, the machine went into production – and ASKO’s premium laundry care appliances were launched to the world.
Building on ASKO’s reputation and commitment, the collection is marked by technological innovation and design excellence.
The company’s products are renowned for their performance, craftsmanship, longevity and elevated Scandinavian design. Its range consistently garners international accolades: most recently, ASKO’s Style washing machine series won the 2025 IF Design Award 2025, while the Style+ series took away the 2025 Red Dot Award.
Now, a new era begins with the launch of the Scandinavian Laundry Care 2.0 range, where intelligent performance, refined materiality and Scandinavian heritage converge. Building on ASKO’s reputation and commitment, the collection is marked by technological innovation and design excellence.
These innovations are exemplified in the Steel Seal washing machine, where the traditional rubber bellow – the flexible seal at the front of the drum – is, instead, crafted in steel. This means that mould can longer hide or build up in the crevices, making the Steel Seal ultra-hygienic. It’s been endorsed by Sensitive Choice as being beneficial for people with allergies and asthma.
Additionally, the exclusive Quattro Construction 2.0 suspension system and Active Drum technology provide balance, stability and vibration-free operation, while the Auto Dose program delivers optimal results, protecting fabrics by automatically measuring and dispensing the precise amount of detergent.
The Butterfly Drying tumble dryer extends this suite of engineering advances. A wide range of programs and drying methods are designed to suit modern everyday needs – from a short, effective drying cycle for busy schedules to an anti-allergy cycle that is kind to sensitive skin. Other features include a gentle, tangle-free drying action, supported by Bundle Guard – which detects bunching and untangles clothes – and the One Motion lint filter, which improves drying performance. Compatibility with the ConnectLife app enables real-time monitoring, scheduling, remote control and personalised programs from smart devices.
These technological advancements are impressive, but the aesthetic is still unmistakably ASKO. Elegant, minimal forms effortlessly integrate in laundry spaces of all shapes and sizes. A customised configuration can be created to fit within just 0.76 square metres – a game-changer for compact zones. Scandinavian Laundry Care 2.0 is available in a new, refined Graphite Black finish or classic White and Titanium options that integrate across diverse interior schemes.
Intuitive interaction is central, with App connectivity across the entire range, customisable programs and the choice of jog dial or touch display across Style and Style+ models.
