Exploring how wellness can become an integral part of the residential environment, Technogym recently spotlighted its new Reform Pilates system at an intimate Melbourne event held in partnership with Bang & Olufsen. Hosted at Bang & Olufsen’s Richmond showroom, the event’s theme, The Sensory Home: Designing Spaces for Wellbeing, brought together movement, design, sound and technology to show how the spaces around us can shape everyday wellbeing.

The event considered how beautifully designed high-end fitness architecture and premium immersive sound engineering can unite to create a more holistic wellness experience.

Live demonstrations of Reform provided an opportunity to try the machine first-hand, while a panel discussion extended the conversation around the evolving role of wellness within residential design.

The star of the show, the Technogym Reform, is a Pilates reformer developed to bring the strength-, posture- and flexibility-focused discipline into a more refined and perceptive studio or at-home setting. Drawing on four decades of experience in wellness design – and developed alongside leading Pilates instructors – Reform is tailored to accommodate users from beginners through to experienced practitioners.

The collaboration pairs Technogym’s refined approach to fitness with the Danish brand’s intuitive approach to sound.

The collaboration with Bang & Olufsen reinforced the transportive nature of the sensory dimension, pairing Technogym’s refined approach to fitness with the Danish brand’s intuitive approach to sound. In addition, the Reform’s agile detailing allows key elements – including the headrest, shoulder pads, foot bar and springs – to be adjusted quickly, supporting a fluid transition between movements without disrupting concentration.
