Garden Bathware – Agape’s New Collection

Available through Artedomus, Agape has launched a new collection of bathware, modifying and immersing contemporary design classics to suit outdoor landscapes.

Designed with purpose and potential, Agape has reimagined traditional bathware designs with a vision for outdoor living. Submerging unique products within the soft and vibrant colours of lush landscapes, Agape has transformed 14 pieces for external use, offered in over 90 variations of colours and materials. Originally designed in-house and by a selection of award-winning international designers, pieces from the Agape collection are redefined to become durable and outdoor-friendly styles.

The collection’s re-design includes pieces such as Studio MK27’s DR Bathtub. Now available in concrete to endure the harsher outdoor climate, the curves of the design are reminiscent of a more contemporary-inspired landscape. Similarly, the In-Out Bathtub designed by Benedini Associati, with its iconic shape and versatile character, is also available in a concrete finish.

Designed by Patricia Urquiola, the Vieques Bathtub and Basin are imbued with a modern sophistication, motivated by the tranquillity of oasis luxury. Additionally, Angelo Mangiarotti’s Bjhon Pedestal Washbasins can be recast in concrete, unique in its sculptural structure and elegant features. The outdoor collection also includes the Vieques Bathtub and Basin, inspired by the ambiance of a Japanese onsen; both can be recast in stainless steel.

Material and technological innovation are core themes to Agape’s new outdoor selections. The collection uses eco-friendly and sustainable materials in the manufacturing of products, as well as bio-based compounds to retain LEED certification. Likewise, pieces can be finished in a unique, coloured concrete paste enriched with resin; also known as Cementoskin, the paste can be used to delicately cast distinctive and finer profiles. Cementoskin is stain and dirt resistant and does not require a sealant, making it suitable for both internal and external usage. Available in five different colours, the concrete paste has the flexibility to suit a range of outdoor styles.

Echoing the classical designs Agape is renowned for, the new outdoor collection is an innovative introduction of durable materials and tonal colour variations. Suited for exterior spaces, the collection includes an array of pieces, including washbasins, freestanding bathtubs, counter tops, towel rails and shelving, all available exclusively through Artedomus.
