Renowned for delivering complex, design-driven builds, 5Point is a leader in high-end coastal and urban residential developments across South-East Queensland. The team create projects with precision, discipline and uncompromising quality, while operating in collaborative, architect-driven environments. That approach is perfectly embodied in Amani, an exclusive 17-storey beachfront address in Main Beach on the Gold Coast that features 15 luxury residences. Designed in collaboration with Contreras Earl Architecture and BGD Architects, the project represents an architecturally ambitious vision delivered by 5Point.

“Every curve, balcony and internal detail was delivered with precision and purpose.”

Amani offers a range of apartment types, from dual-residence floors, full-floor apartments and expansive duplexes to an exclusive three-level penthouse. The design features complex geometries and sculptural curved facade elements, executed with tight tolerances to maintain its refined, flowing lines. Delivering this vision required 5Point to lead rigorous co-ordination across structure, services and finishes, carefully managing sequencing within challenging beachfront conditions. Known for transforming bold contemporary architectural visions into built reality, the 5Point team ground every stage of the construction process in discipline and craft.

Building directly on the coastline demands foresight and specific expertise. Drawing on extensive experience in beachfront developments, 5Point implemented robust concrete durability strategies, advanced waterproofing systems and specialised facade protection to guard against salt, wind and moisture. “Every curve, balcony and internal detail was delivered with precision and purpose,” says Damian Dove, 5Point’s managing director. “Working closely with the architects, we ensured their vision was realised without compromise, while navigating the unique challenges of an absolute beachfront site.”

Achieving this clarity of form demanded advanced formwork techniques, disciplined sequencing and attention to detail.

Amani’s exterior is sculptural, purposeful in form and has been executed with absolute precision. The curved concrete facade articulates the internal staircases and double-height duplex volumes, allowing the building’s inner volumes to shape its outer identity. Alternating balcony forms frame expansive ocean views, creating varied outlooks for residents. Achieving this clarity of form demanded advanced formwork techniques, disciplined sequencing and attention to detail.

“At Amani, nothing is decorative,” says Rafael Contreras, co-founder of Contreras Earl Architecture. “The architecture is a direct expression of life inside the building, shaped by place, movement and experience rather than ornament.”

Interiors feature bespoke curved detailing, a natural coastal-inspired palette and high-end joinery. Junctions, transitions and finishes were meticulously executed to ensure continuity between the interior and exterior. “We wanted the building to feel as though it belongs – almost as if it had been shaped over time by natural forces rather than imposed upon the site,” says Monica Earl, co-founder of Contreras Earl Architecture. Each residence has also been designed to capture natural light and panoramic views from multiple aspects.

Fluent in complex, design-led construction and highly experienced in delivering resilient coastal assets, 5Point brings foresight and technical precision to every stage of the build. As Damian Dove notes, “This project exemplifies 5Point’s integrated approach: architecture designed to endure, constructed with certainty and built to perform over the long term.”
