Antipodean brand BAINA launches Weave, a new collection of towels inspired by the geometric elements of Art Deco tiling and modernist textiles.

Luxe towelling brand BAINA, long-known for redefining bathroom textiles and uplifting the rituals of bathing, has released a new art- and architecture-focused range, the Weave Four-Piece Towelling Collection. Defined by the rhythmic geometric elements of Art Deco tiling and modernist textile art forms, Weave brings together an upright line pattern and a bold linear print, furthering the brand’s considered and thoughtful approach to bathing essentials.

“Weave explores the interplay of scale and print, combining a bold geometric print against a subdued vertical line motif.”

Created in a contrasting palette of Sand and Noir, the four-piece collection features a pool towel, bath towel, hand towel and bath mat each luxuriously soft, durable, natural and biodegradable. BAINA co-founder Bailey Meredith says the range was born from the influential Antipodean brand’s strong signature. “Weave explores the interplay of scale and print, combining a bold geometric print against a subdued vertical line motif,” she says. “When paired together, the collection feels balanced – and intentional.”

Led by a singular focus – to elevate the daily bathing routine – BAINA has long sought to foster a sense of slowing down. “For us, BAINA is more than considered towelling,” Meredith says. “It represents the reconnection to one’s bathing routine – and essential time with self.”

Meredith and Fahey have consistently enlivened bathroom spaces with towelling that draws its inspiration from fine art, sculpture, architecture and nature.

Founded in 2019 by Meredith and Anna Fahey, two childhood friends from New Zealand, the Melbourne-based company has developed a cult following both locally and internationally. BAINA – whose moniker is an amalgamation of the founders’ first names – originated from a shared desire to create a brand, product and culture that celebrated the simplicity of design, the self-caring essence of cleansing routines and a passionate understanding of colour theory. With broad backgrounds in fashion and design, Meredith and Fahey have consistently enlivened bathroom spaces with towelling that draws its inspiration from fine art, sculpture, architecture and nature.

Its towels are handcrafted in one of the most established mills in Portugal and use 100 per cent Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton. “We take a mindful approach to craftsmanship and materiality,” Fahey says. “Organic cotton is not only soft, durable, natural and biodegradable, it’s a fibre that becomes stronger when wet, making it ideal for towelling.”

Created in small batches, BAINA’s organic focus stems from a passion to reduce environmental impact, enhance biodiversity and create a safer working environment in the textile mill. Harnessing simplicity in design and a conscious reconnection with the daily bathing routine, BAINA’s considered textiles celebrate craftsmanship, longevity and luxurious quality.
