Boffi – with the combined creative forces of DePadova, MA/U Studio and ADL – offers high-end integrated interior solutions marked by Italian sophistication and craftsmanship.
Founded in northern Italy in 1934, Boffi is recognised as one of the world’s leading providers of comprehensive interior collections. For 90 years, the company has explored the relationship between fine Italian craftsmanship, timeless design and intuitive functionality, and has acquired a stellar roll call of equally innovative brands to create a powerhouse of international design.
With the acquisition of furniture brand DePadova in 2015, Denmark’s MA/U Studio, which creates streamlined modular interior shelving systems, in 2017 and ADL – renowned for its innovative partition and door systems – in 2019, Boffi now offers a comprehensive and coherent collection for residential and commercial spaces, with a peerless integration of materials and products.
Recently, DePadova has collaborated with British designer Paul Smith for the Everyday Life collection of sofas, armchairs, coffee tables and outdoor furniture, uniting Smith’s distinctive flair and love of colour with DePadova’s instinct for modern luxury. There’s a similar congruence in the company’s partnership with Japanese brand Time & Style, which honours traditional craftsmanship in its highly considered furniture. The ēdition capsule collection showcases the precise and minimalist design ethos of Japan and the flair of Italy in a range of solid timber tables, chairs, cabinets and light fixtures.
At this year’s Salone del Mobile, Boffi launched a comprehensive array of both new and reinvigorated ranges. To celebrate the brand’s 90th anniversary, Zaha Hadid Design updated the Cove kitchen, originally conceived in 2017, by evolving the silhouette with perimeter edges that gently curve downwards. German architect and designer Norbert Wangen created a new iteration of his K14 kitchen, first launched in 2007, and added to Boffi’s expanded alfresco offerings with the K6 outdoor kitchen, a freestanding monobloc available in both Corian and stainless steel. New refinements to Piero Lissoni’s Antibes modular walk-in wardrobe system were also unveiled – including a garment sanitiser and armoured drawer with a safe function – as well as a new wine storage system.
ADL continues to expand its innovative range of sliding, pocket, swing, pivot and bi-fold doors with the MyRoom system, which creates rooms-within-rooms bounded by framed glass and swing doors while still allowing a visual connection between spaces. The Showering collection features architectural glass shower panels and doors, elevating bathing to new heights of elegance and harmony.
Other innovations include the QUADRO kitchen cabinet door and frame, constructed from aluminium and glass with circularity front of mind, and DePadova’s geometric SaintPaul shelving system, an anodised extruded aluminium structure that can be paired with five shades of glass and cabinet modules in four different finishes.
Boffi is committed to visionary design and provides an exclusive and holistic interiors solution. Boffi Studios in both Sydney and Melbourne offer a comprehensive residential design service, supplying homes with kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, joinery, doors and partitions, as well as furniture for both indoors and out.
