Introducing Vipp Furniture – Collection Launch by Cult Design
Heralded design muse Vipp launches the Vipp Furniture Collection as part of Vipp Open House on Wednesday October 30, 2019. Together with Cult Design Sydney, the expanding legacy of the renowned Danish design brand is unveiled.
With origins in industrial design dating back to the 1930s, Vipp is synonymous with producing and designing industry leading products. Until recently, that portfolio encompassed their iconic steel cylinder bin range. More recent years, however, have seen bountiful growth and expansion by the brand and its products, with the added introduction of the Vipp Kitchen, Vipp Shelter, Vipp Loft and Vipp Hotel. The success of each of these endeavours is, in part, due to the fact that each designed element is the product of the Vipp brand. Inevitably, further expansion sees the launch of Vipp Furniture, with Cult Design in Sydney host to the unveiling on Wednesday October 30, 2019.
Born as a result of the previously mentioned architectural endeavours and the desire to develop a line of furniture to inhabit these spaces, the Vipp Furniture Collection sees a complete range of furniture and soft furnishings that offer an extension of the brand’s ethos. With a belief that function drives form, the crux of which was the driving idea behind the initial iconic Vipp bin design, these new pieces offer a similar well-resolved and intensively researched background in design innovation.
Completing the Vipp Furniture Collection, leveraging principles of the industrial-purist kitchen and bathroom concepts and products, the newly unveiled range also includes lighting and accessories. Through a directly tactile approach, adding a new, softer layer to the collection, steel (the trademark material of the brand) is given some welcomed accompaniments.
Preferring a timelessness over trending aesthetics, the durability and longevity of the brand can be traced to its distinct minimalism. Vipp Furniture will see the unveiling of living room elements such as the Loft Sofa, the Chimney Sofa, the Shelter Lounge Chair, Coffee Table and Rug. Dining elements such as the Vipp Chair and Vipp Table take inspiration from the brand’s industrial lineage and references architectural elements. And completing the collection will be a series of soft furnishing accessories and glassware.
The newly unveiled range also includes lighting and accessories.
The Vipp Open House will involve an in-showroom ‘Vipp Home’ installation within the Cult Design Sydney showroom. Launching on Wednesday 30th October, the installation will be open to visitors until November 2nd, with a celebratory Open House Day dedicated to retail visitors and general public on Saturday November 2nd with registration through Eventbrite.
