As the sister venue to Armadale’s Mammoth Café, Copycat Bar & Restaurant in Elsternwick is a date night spot with a difference. Brought to life through a sophisticated and dark material palette and dimmed romantic lighting, the space speaks to quality and a sense of unmatched opulence.

Featuring a modern Australian menu led by seasonal and local ingredients, Copycat leans heavily into its date night ambience. Infused with rich and refined textures, each considered element elevates the space, seeing deep purples, blues, browns and blacks reflect back the natural Australian landscape. Reminiscent of ocean waves, a blue-toned marble wraps around the bar, met by textured timber to add visual intrigue. Exposed grey brick walls contrast against darker joinery pieces, further emphasising Copycat’s moody character. Brass details and dimmed lights speak to a romantic luxury while colourful artwork adorns the wall behind the bar for a more playful vibe. Situated within a heritage building, there’s an intimate sense of curiosity felt throughout the venue – perfect for both exploring and settling into an evening.
