A Meaningful Gift – Cult Blood Drive

Words by Chantelle Fausset

During December, Cult is running an Australian-wide blood drive with the goal to generate 100 blood donations. In support of its long-standing team member Chelsea Rodrigues, who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, Cult has worked on the new Cult Blood Drive initiative this holiday season.

Chelsea’s personal experience with LifeBlood, a branch of the Australian Red Cross committed to providing life-giving support to all Australians, has prompted Cult to take action and help blood supply shortages across Australia. Statistically, one in three people will need blood, but only one in 30 donate – a ratio Cult is committed to improving.

“Cult is proud to be part of LifeBlood Teams, the group donation program from Australian Red Cross Lifeblood,” says Cult Founder and Director, Richard Munao. “If you’re going to do one generous thing this giving season, please join the Cult team in donating blood. From the entire Cult team, thank you for helping Chelsea and Cult reach our goal this year.”

There are a variety of ways to participate in the Cult Blood Drive.  Active donors can login to book their next donation and join the Cult Design LifeBlood Team to help Cult reach the 100-donation goal. New donors can make an account, join the Cult Design LifeBlood Team and book their first donation. Linking with the team account enables Cult to track all donations part of the Cult Blood Drive and work towards the 100-donation goal this December. Those unable to donate blood can support the Cult Blood Drive by sharing with friends and family and encouraging their network to share or book a donation. Donation bookings and LifeBlood appointments can be shared using the hashtag #CultBloodDrive on social media to increase awareness of this initiative and encourage donations.
