A Legacy Unsurpassed – Cult Partners with Fredericia
Cult Design has announced a new partnership with Danish brand Fredericia.
Fredericia was founded on the principles of innovation, authentic design, exceptional craftsmanship and quality materials. Established in 1911 by entrepreneur N. P. Ravnsø, Fredericia began as a Danish design house that quickly became known for its elegantly crafted products. To this day, the company celebrates its design legacy by channelling simple principles, with an emphasis on materiality, detail and functionality.
The Danish company continues to manufacture remarkable, lasting furniture that can be enjoyed for generations from iconic designers such as Børge Mogensen and Nanna Ditzel to emerging names such as Hugo Passos. “Like Cult, Fredericia is a family-run business,” says Richard Munao, Cult Founder and Managing Director. “We are proud to partner with a brand with such strong values, passion and heritage.”
Cult offers a wide selection of internationally and locally renowned brands and designers, with a particular affinity for Danish furniture. “Danish design is part of Cult’s DNA,” Richard explains, “and we have long been known for representing the best brands from across Scandinavia – from Fritz Hansen, to HAY, to Carl Hansen and Son. Fredericia is a welcomed addition to our portfolio, with its wide selection of contemporary classics by some of the most distinguished Danish masters.”
The introduction of Fredericia completes Cult’s collection as one of Australia’s most comprehensive Danish furniture suppliers, Richard explains. “When I founded Cult 25 years ago, Erik Jørgensen was the first brand we represented. Our new partnership with Fredericia feels timely, given the brands recent acquisition of Erik Jørgensen. We are thrilled to have both design houses under one roof.” The complete collection will be available online from July and available in Australian and New Zealand showrooms from August.
