The familiar warm palette found in natural landscapes where land meets water is the inspiration for the latest Cantilever Kitchen System release by Melbourne-based Cantilever Interiors.

EDIT is anew boutique kitchen system, the fifth release by Cantilever Interiors, designed in collaboration with KETT of Cosh Living. Creative Director of Cantilever Interiors Kylie Forbes found inspiration for the collection in the concept of the meeting place: landscapes where land and water meet. The distinct palette captures not only the ochre and sandy tones of these riparian landscapes, it evokes the feeling of timelessness that one feels walking the edges of a dry riverbed or a coastal bluff.

Following on from the first four Cantilever Kitchen Systems and revisiting and refining Cantilever classic product inclusions, EDIT combines a material suite of Australian and international natural stone, steel, and ceramic benchtops with a series of stained veneer cabinets. The natural textures and warm hues bring gentle contrast, bridging the living tones of the timber and the inert solidity of the steel and stone benchtops, pushing into new visual and sensory territory for the brand.

Moody earth tones blend with solid timber handles and other staple Cantilever materials such as solid and veneer American oak to soften the overall presence of the kitchen. While the design language of the system has taken a turn, the fundamental ethos, ‘built for longevity’, remains consistent, with all Cantilever kitchens designed and hand-built in the Brunswick East workshop by a team of dedicated designers and cabinetmakers.
