Alight with Refinement — Euroluce
With over four decades of enduring experience and evolution within the professional and design lighting marketplace, Euroluce exists as a constant beacon for architects and designers seeking to elevate a space through illumination. Delivering a conscientious refinement that is the hallmark of its reputation, Euroluce’s application of visually impeccable solutions deftly communicates the brand’s passion for quality lighting.
Devotedly representative of Euroluce’s pillars of integrity, originality, quality, innovation and service excellence, the company’s lighting products and client services place significant focus on the impact lighting design creates within residential and commercial spaces. Two such ventures that typify Euroluce’s measured approach are Wallis Lake House by Matthew Woodward Architecture and 101 Collins Street by Bates Smart. Both projects offer impressionable experiences that connect elegant spatial luminescence with sophisticated design.
With walls powdered by a graceful soft glow, the crisp geometry of Wallis Lake House is contrasted by a smattering of curved Euroluce light fittings throughout. Born of the desire to craft a space that would serve as a cosy vantage for the surrounding sea swell and bushland, the home’s spirit is intentional in its robust and playful nature. Drawing upon this, Matthew Woodward Architects selected FLOS Architectural’s Tracking Magnet System, Tubular Bells and Find Me Suspension as well as Reggiani’s Cycled surface-mounted downlight from the Euroluce portfolio. The pieces offer a plethora of functionality through the combination of expansive room-wide illumination, direct task lighting and a feature pendant. Aptly assembled, the contemporary cylindrical and compact profiles of the luminaires radiate a refinement befitting of the elevated home.
Taking cues from Melbourne’s iconic Hoddle Grid, 101 Collins Street comprises a sleek workspace with striking industrial and architectural elements. The design by Bates Smart sees an abundance of Euroluce lighting that serves as a sculptural feature overhead. The FLOS Infra-Structure system offers a scaffolded network of LED fixtures that emulate the delineation of the city’s streets, while Reggiani’s Mood Fixed Round lights temper the severity of the space’s angular forms with their diffused softness. A sense of expressive homage to its context is felt within the office, owing to the judicious choice of light fittings that match Melbourne’s artistic soul and urban materiality.
Utilising Euroluce’s generous portfolio of leading European craftsmanship, the triumph of these projects is seen not only in the use of premium architectural lighting products but also in the close collective effort between architects and designers with Euroluce’s experienced team. Welcoming the opportunity to creatively collaborate, Euroluce lighting professionals take concerted effort to realise each client’s desired outcome, the consideration of each designer’s ideation and the site’s character ultimately informing the most fitting lighting expression.
Bolstered by the company’s history of forming relationships with clients and brands, Euroluce has anchored its position at the precipice of the marketplace. Representing a portfolio of eminent and respected global lighting brands, the extensive and flexible collection encompasses Decorative, Architectural, Technical and Outdoor Lighting Solutions from FLOS Architectural, FLOS Decorative, FLOS Outdoor, Reggiani, TALA, Wästberg, Oluce and Planet Lighting.
