In celebration of its 15-year anniversary, cult wellness and lifestyle brand Goop has opened a villa at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach and is designed in collaboration with New York-based architecture and interior design studio Ronen Lev.

From the outset, Ronen Lev’s Jessica Kamel and Christina Akiskalou worked closely with Goop’s founder Gwyneth Paltrow to distil the brand’s well-honed values and aesthetic sensibilities into a tangible experience for its community. The resulting space, which is housed within one of the hotel’s historic villas, is a veritable Goop haven blending “a modern, feminine Parisian aesthetic with the vibrant spirit of Palm Beach,” says Jessica. The bookable, two-bedroom residence invites guests to immerse themselves in Goop’s alluring ethos for long and short stays.

Inside, the spaces exude luxury with a texturally rich yet airy palette that not only recalls the elevated coastal locale but also feels emphatically Goop. Furniture and textiles from Gwyneth’s favourite haunts such as Invisible Collection and Armadillo dot the spaces and plush upholstery and sandy-coloured linens bring additional softness and warmth. It’s cohesive and, ultimately, relaxing, yet there is a liveliness to the design thanks to colour and artwork, notably a green Lilly Pulitzer mural in the powder room and intricately hand painted wallpaper from Fromental.

There are also various touchpoints that illustrate Gwyneth’s personal design preferences, such as the black and white checkerboard tiled floors in the bathroom (also found in her Los Angeles and Montecito homes) and the layered application of wall coverings and textiles seen throughout. Unsurprisingly, the Goop brand is ubiquitous; for instance, room service includes Goop smoothies and soups, the bathroom is fully stocked with Goop Beauty products, and shoppable G. Label pieces (cashmere sweaters and the like) hang in the closet.

This is a Goop-heavy experience, however, given the brand’s luxury lifestyle-leaning philosophy and well-honed aesthetic values – which have been deftly interpreted by Ronen Lev – total immersion in it is no chore. A stay at the villa may well be the ultimate Goop look-in, even if just for a night.
