Melbourne-based furniture design company grazia&co has opened a new Sydney showroom. The recently acquired location, situated in the inner-city suburb of Alexandria, is a continuation of the business’s core values, nurturing and showcasing Australian design and manufacturing.

Forged by 25 years of design experience, grazia&co merges the traditional values of quality and functionality with a dedication to modern Australian design. Grazia Materia originally established the business in Melbourne together with her husband Steve Parry, emphasising principles of sustainability and endurance. In a much-anticipated move, grazia&co has now opened a Sydney location, viewed as an extension to its Melbourne-based business.

The showroom is located in the ex-Hawker de Havilland complex. Originally an aviation factory and a production warehouse for timber propellers during World War Two, the space is now filled with Australian designed and manufactured pieces, ranging from sofas to stools, bedside tables and armchairs. The curated selection of pieces also includes the iconic mid-century Featherston collection, which is exclusively available through grazia&co and featured on the warehouse’s podium. Welcomed in the space via industrial doors and greeted by a wall installation of como mirrors designed by Beatrix Rowe, the interior layout has been divided into zones to showcase areas of living, bedroom, dining and outdoor spaces.

The showroom also serves to highlight grazia&co’s extensive product collections, including the agent 86 curved sofa, a beautiful outdoor range and the grazia&co signature stool collection. Abundant natural light illuminates a curated collection of Australian art, chosen for a complementary aesthetic. The high ceilings and polished concrete floors also contribute to grazia&co’s ideal direction, representing the company’s philosophy of considered detailing and production.

Valuing quality local design and manufacturing, grazia&co has established itself as a company that stands for sustainability and authenticity.
