Luxury linen, bedding and homewares brand IN BED have opened their first flagship retail store in Paddington, Sydney.
Founded in 2013 by Pip Vasset as an online shop and journal, the new concept store was a chance to bring IN BED to life in a physical space. Lovers of IN BED’s signature relaxed yet sophisticated aesthetic, quality natural materials and understated colour palette will feel right at home in the new space, which has been designed in collaboration with “long-time co-conspirators and friends” We are Triibe.
We Are Triibe drew from the brand’s original source of inspiration since its first inception – the spaces of real creative people. The atmosphere of IN BED’s in-depth online journal featuring interviews and photos of these real homes and studios provided a strong aesthetic foundation and ethos for the interior design of the store. “We incorporated carefully-selected natural materials that are layered through the kitchen, dining and living areas of the store with a variety of timbers through wall panelling and custom joinery. We also used olive green textured tiles for the point of sale and bathroom area to further apply the natural palette”, explain the design duo behind We are Triibe.
Flooded with natural light, the 80sqm space is cosy and welcoming, and furniture by local Melbourne designer and woodworker Made by Morgen adds to the calm, simple yet homely atmosphere. In the near future, IN BED plan to offer exclusive products and events in the new store. “We hope that our customers will love visiting and spending time in store, exploring the products and simply enjoying thespace. We’re excited to really connect with our customers in person” says Pip Vassett.
Alongside the range of IN BED linen, bedding, bath and kitchen textiles, a carefully curated range of products from brands such as Walk In The Park, Wingnut & Co, Henry Wilson and Tara Burke are also available. A destination for thoughtful, quality homewares as well as beautiful interior design inspiration – it would seem the new flagship store is giving design-lovers an excellent reason to venture out of bed this May.
