Laminex Unveils Architectural Panels
A sleek new range of architectural panels in realistic wood grains from Laminex brings seamless integration and ease of installation to residential and commercial spaces.
For 90 years, Australian brand Laminex has designed elegant and durable surfaces, boards and laminates for residential and commercial spaces. The recent launch of its stylish Architectural Panels range continues that lineage, with a series of panels for walls, ceilings and joinery enhancing the functional and design possibilities of its laminates. Seamless integration of walls, ceiling and cabinetry is made extraordinarily easy with Laminex’s prefinished panel system, which is ready for expeditious installation, and combines the practical possibilities of timber battens with the visual warmth of timber.
Design-driven and versatile, Laminex’s Architectural Panels are designed in three linear profiles: VGroove 100, Batten 40 and Batten 60. Each features a realistic woodgrain decor from Laminex’s Colour Collection for a striking timber aesthetic with myriad design possibilities. Laminex Raw Birchply offers a clean surface and a subtle grain, while Classic Oak affords a warmer honey-colour timber effect and underlying wooden details.
For a distinctive darker look, there’s Blackened Legno, a dark brown woodgrain, while the Danish Walnut decor mimics the finish of mid-century timber furniture, adding vitality and depth to your project. Other options from the collection that will bring unique flair to your space are Sublime Teak, Danish Walnut and Planked Urban Oak. Each of the six decors can also be complemented with a Black Shadowline for an even more authentic appearance, and the Laminex Sublime Teak can be enhanced with a subtle Natural Shadowline.
Each panel boasts Laminex’s patented InvisiLock wall panel joining system, a seamless fitting method that offers continuity between panels and is three times faster to install than traditional individual battens, amplifying cost effectiveness and reducing labour costs. Installation requires only standard tools and fixings, bringing further convenience to the process. The system also offers impressive durability, preventing bowing and gaps over time. In fact, durability is a key quality of the Architectural Panels: their scratch-, stain- and impact-resistance make them ideal for commercial projects such as hotels and restaurants. A choice between direct-fix and suspended-ceiling fixes also enhances the panels’ flexibility and ability to be used across a broad spectrum of projects, both retrofitted and new.
Laminex’s new Architectural Panels bring a higher degree of creative freedom to the design process than ever before, coupling beautiful finishes with durability and ease of installation.
