Inviting and warm, Lucca Estate echoes a European villa with its openly celebrated indoor-outdoor shared living spaces and embracing of the natural landscape. EB Interiors adds to an existing narrative that connects the home to its surrounds whilst encouraging an eclectic expression of its owners.

Concealed behind large gates, the grandeur of the home is established from the streetscape. Originally built in the 1960s, the existing home’s familial connection and nostalgia is retained in the reshaping of the residence for its next chapter. Whilst the building’s façade remains, the interior and landscape are reworked to carefully overlay a matched formality and rigour, framing the home and anchoring it in place. Located in Burraneer, the generous home sits surrounded by a lush and buffering landscape, where the softness of the living elements balance the structured rhythm of the Tuscan-inspired home. After having established a long-standing relationship with the clients on previous projects, EB Interiors weaves in clear connections of the clients in the project, allowing a personal expression of the inhabitants.

The connection between inside and outside is crucial to the how the home functions, allowing for boundaryless thresholds between the two realms.

Built by Mac Developments, with landscape design by Urban Jungle, Lucca Estate sits among its sculpted surrounds and manicured hedges. Drawing from the original inspiration of Italian glamour, the home becomes layered with eclectic gestures whilst a clean and considered contemporary liveability forms the foundations of everyday life. The connection between inside and outside is crucial to the how the home functions, allowing for boundaryless thresholds between the two realms. Continuous and consistent flooring allows for free movement across the site, marrying the outdoor spaces to the interior dwelling.

The home sits centrally on its site, spread over multiple levels. Internally, a series of dark and saturated layers sit alongside the more animated and muted tones of textiles, creating moods of either openness or intimacy to match the function of the room. Outdoors, the pool area has its own gravitational pull, where the use of handmade Italian tiles and lush landscaping creates an inviting platform for social gatherings.

Lucca Estate draws from its rich and sentimental past whilst integrating contemporary warmth and energy. EB Interiors creates a dynamic home that uniquely reflects its occupants, resulting in an inviting and engaging residence.
