A Tailored Experience – MCM House
As the commercial extension of the MCM House brand, MCM Workshop provides bespoke design solutions tailored to individual project needs. Offering custom furniture, fixtures, fittings and equipment (FF&E), the end-to-end experience is both holistic and collaborative, allowing clients access to quality innovative and affordable opportunities.
As a commercial FF&E program, MCM Workshop offers full-service resolutions for an array of projects, focusing on functionality, aesthetics and durability. Having completed over 200 projects in the hospitality, hotel and workplace sectors – including Raes on Wategos, Mimi’s, Osborne House and King and Godfree – MCM Workshop ensures each design response is unique to each space.
Accommodation operator Bannisters has worked with MCM Workshop several times over the past six years, seeing the collaborative relationship produce much-anticipated destinations such as the Cheeky Dog Pub at Port Stephens. MCM Workshop similarly assisted in crafting a contemporary and relaxed elegance in Mimi’s – a Sydney restaurant by The Merivale Group and Acme. Raes on Wategos by Tamsin Johnson saw the FF&E service collaboratively craft custom pieces such as dining tables and indoor-outdoor sofas; likewise, designing products tailored to both location and style, MCM Workshop has also forged extensive custom seating for King and Godfree’s rooftop bar.
The accommodation project Osborn House – a boutique, 5-star hotel surrounded by bushland and gardens – was similarly produced with MCM Workshop. The interior is imbued with elegant hues and textured opulence, which feels distinctly its own. “Luxury accommodation is as much about how a space feels,” explains Linda Boronkay, Founder and Creative Director at Linda Boronkay Design Studio, “and at Osborn House we wanted to give our guests an experience they’ll never forget.” The project was the result of detailed collaboration between MCM Workshop and Linda Boronkay Design Studio, seeing the execution of over 270 custom products over 12 months, each reflecting tailor-made artistry and detailed design. “We set out to create the feel of a very special country home – one that draws you in with its warmth, history and quirky mix of the classic and contemporary,” Linda notes. “The MCM Workshop team really understood our vision for the space. Working with the team to create these characterful furniture pieces has been integral to the success of this project. And the production process was easy from start to finish – we couldn’t be happier.”
