In 2005, antique furniture dealer Charles Hinckfuss founded MCM House as a contemporary furniture and homewares brand rooted in affordable luxury. Since then, the company has become noted for its elegant and understated designs. Its latest campaign, Inspired Restraint, echoes the brand’s time-honoured signature with collection pieces that straddle simplicity and sophistication.

MCM House’s designs embody the beauty in simplicity. Characterised by modern lines and subtle details, the company’s portfolio spans furniture, lighting, textiles, rugs, decor and curated art from across the globe. The new campaign, Inspired Restraint, includes enduring and minimalist furniture and homewares tailored to suit a spectrum of settings, now and into the future. The versatile nature of each piece featured across the campaign means it may be displayed independently or combined with other designs.

The Inspired Restraint campaign imagery features pieces from the Elio and Axol collections. Elio is a soft furniture range, defined by minimalist sofas, slippers, beds and ottomans in subdued tones and textures. Each design is equally underpinned by luxury and comfort. Additionally, the sofas are fully customisable with upholstered pieces in an array of sizes, enabling patrons to personalise and configure layouts themselves. With the introduction of an outdoor modular variant, Elio now offers the opportunity to coordinate indoor and outdoor furniture and invest in quality pieces on either side of the threshold.

Meanwhile, Axol — an existing range by MCM House, composed of solid wood coffee tables, buffets, side tables and consoles — is now available with optional overlays of white Carrara marble and Nero Marquina black marble, alongside the original travertine. Although they are distinct in aesthetic, the Elio and Axol ranges serve as natural complements to one another.

The new launches feature a plush, cushioned silhouette, with a core colourway of Seagrass and seasonal palettes of Jute and Smoke.

The Inspired Restraint campaign also reimagines some of MCM House’s time-served lines, as evidenced by the Caramel timber capsule and the Hucks range. As the name suggests, the Caramel timber capsule is a reinterpretation of the company’s long-serving Maki and Galleria lines in warm caramel tones. Likewise, the Hucks range is an organic extension of MCM House’s signature Hucks armchair — known for its sumptuous scale and comfort — with the addition of modular seating options. Like the armchair, the new launches feature a plush, cushioned silhouette, with a core colourway of Seagrass and seasonal palettes of Jute and Smoke.

For MCM House, Inspired Restraint reflects customers’ growing proclivity towards simple yet sophisticated design. With enduring and evergreen pieces, the campaign spotlights pieces that offer a fail-safe investment for the future.
