Grounded in bold materials, PB House by Studio Priscilla is a thoughtful renovation that makes a strong statement while maintaining a minimalist approach.

Upon entering PB House, located on a leafy street in St Peters, one feature immediately stands out: the materiality. Namely, the Sareva quartzite from Artedomus. Given that the home belongs to the brand’s managing director, it’s no surprise that the materials take centrestage in the residence. This is especially true in the kitchen and powder room, which served as the starting point for Studio Priscilla’s design, naturally informing the rest of the home’s aesthetic.

Much like the thoughtful selection of stone, Studio Priscilla has filled the residence with small details that add personality to the compact space without overwhelming it.

Much like the thoughtful selection of stone, Studio Priscilla has filled the residence with small details that add personality to the compact space without overwhelming it. For example, in the powder room, striking Japanese mosaics paired with a unique, handcrafted terracotta wall light from Italy inject drama into the home. Meanwhile, in the other bathrooms, large-format porcelain panels create a sense of grandeur while maintaining a minimalist feel.

Beyond materiality, carefully chosen furnishings and artworks complement the pared-back palette. While neutral tones dominate PB House, pops of colour are introduced to add playfulness to the space. Studio Priscilla also incorporates the client’s own curated artwork, imbuing the dwelling with a lived-in, personal feel.

Striking a balance between practicality, tranquillity and vibrancy, PB House provides a calm haven for a busy family to retreat.

On a practical level, storage is a key design consideration, given the home’s compact floor plan. Thoughtful solutions – including under-stair compartments and a hidden joinery door leading into the powder room – maximise space and add functionality. This ensures that living in the residence is a seamless, refined experience.
