Now in its third generation of family leadership, Pittella continues to evolve under the stewardship of managing director Simone Pittella and creative director Charlotte Pittella. The Pittella story begins in Italy, within traditional brass workshops where the family first honed its skills. When Ottavia and Felice Pittella brought that artisanal expertise to Melbourne and founded Pittella Imports five decades ago, they carried more than tools and technique – they carried a philosophy. Every handle, hinge and fitting was to embody integrity, material beauty and the unmistakeable warmth of the human hand. “Pittella is the success of my grand story,” reflects Ottavia. “Beginning in the mountains of Umbria and Calabria and reaching across the world to the wide open spaces beneath the Australian sun, the brand has come to be a proud reflection of family, heritage, artisanship, dedication and an enduring passion for design.”
