Blum’s REVEGO pocket system delivers a new era of dynamic design, transforming practical spaces to create truly multi-functional rooms.
One of the most enduring trends in home design is the need to do more with less. We require our homes to deliver space to live, work, study, entertain and relax – all on a decreasing footprint – driving demand for chameleon-like design solutions, such as Blum’s new REVEGO pocket system.
“The REVEGO pocket system was inspired by a growing demand for multi-functional spaces, which has coincided with a rising trend of high-density housing,” says Marshal Cairnduff, Blum Australia marketing manager (products and services). “As more people continue to merge their kitchen, dining, living and working spaces, having the ability to quickly open up spacious work surfaces when needed, and close them again when they are not in use, helps to create a homely atmosphere with a sense of creativity and design.”
Available in Australia from May, REVEGO essentially works as a moveable wall: there when you need it and hidden when you don’t, allowing homes to meet our extensive practical demands, while quieting the visual noise. While other systems can be cumbersome and irritating to operate, REVEGO’s German Design Award-winning construction allows effortless operation with a feather-light touch. “REVEGO separates itself from other pocket system solutions through both its functionality and design possibilities,” says Marshal. “Our TIP-ON motion technology offers a smooth and effortless opening and closing experience that is activated by a gentle touch to the cabinet front.” Simply push to release and the door folds and slides seamlessly into the narrow cavity. To close it again, push, and the door slides out of the cavity and gracefully unfolds.
REVEGO closes the gap between designers’ flights of imagination and practical possibility. “REVEGO supports doors up to three metres in height, which allows designers to capitalise on floor-to-ceiling applications to further enhance their seamless designs,” says Marshal. Single-door REVEGO uno and double-door REVEGO duo can be mixed and matched, used independently or combined, to cover widths of up to three metres. While handles can be added for visual effect, if desired, the TIP-ON technology allows for handleless design – a first for the industry, allowing the doors to blend effortlessly into the space.
The applications for REVEGO are virtually limitless. Use one to reveal a fully functional home office set-up, then hide it away in an instant when it’s time to unwind. Touch to release the party genie, with a bar hidden behind an invisible wall, ideal for entertainers. Use a REVEGO pocket system to omit the worst visual clutter of kitchens, media rooms, offices and more, without sacrificing any of the necessary functionality.
Being fully integrated into the run of furniture, Blum’s REVEGO gives designers the freedom to weave their designs around the application with ease. In addition, the system will be supported by a new REVEGO AR app, allowing designers to virtually place the application into the proposed design, playing with placement and serving as an inspirational visual aid for clients.
