Overlooking Kirra’s renowned waves and opening to endless views north to Surfers Paradise and south toward Queensland’s border, Rise – The Penthouse crowns KTQ Group’s tallest residential project to date. But the name Rise doesn’t just speak to its height. It also gestures to the rhythm of rising with the sun, walking the foreshore, unrolling a yoga mat or slipping into the surf before breakfast. Here, architecture and lifestyle fold into one another, presenting not just a home but a sanctuary that lifts the spirit.

Architecture and lifestyle fold into one another, presenting not just a home but a sanctuary that lifts the spirit.

Led by Rowena Cornwell of Coop Creative, the interiors unfold as calm and cultivated. Clean lines, crafted detailing and a warm, textural palette create an atmosphere that is at once elegant and grounded. The material selections are pared back. Burnished render, finely honed finishes and warm timber details create a tactile calm, their quiet presence allowing the spaces to breathe. Together, they echo the muted sands and soft shadows of Kirra at day’s end and allow the spectacular view to take centrestage.

The 700-square-metre, two-level residence is guided by a resident-first approach that prizes comfort, wellbeing and longevity. Spatial planning is deliberate with every transition carefully choreographed so that open entertainment areas may also give way to intimate retreats.

A cruciform terrace creates a series of overlapping indoor-outdoor rooms to accommodate dining, lounging, cooking and swimming.

On arrival, a central lobby separates the public and private realms. A sequence of wet and dry zones are discreetly clustered, accommodating off-beach living while providing generous storage. Five king-sized suites along the perimeter of the floor plan, each with its own walk-in robe and ensuite, are filled with natural light and frame ocean and hinterland vistas. A double-height stair void, cast in a golden glow from amber glass bricks, anchors the home – its gentle radiance drawing residents upward toward expansive rooftop living.

The roof is where Rise fully opens to the sky. A cruciform terrace creates a series of overlapping indoor-outdoor rooms to accommodate dining, lounging, cooking and swimming. The north-facing heated plunge pool looks directly to the horizon and is the place to watch whales in winter or summer storms rolling in across the Pacific Ocean. Inside, a media room and chef’s kitchen balance the leisure areas, offering moments of indulgence that extend far beyond everyday living.

Rise embraces the everyday ease and slower pace of Kirra, where cafes spill onto sidewalks and walkers trace the paths that connect the famous stretch of coastline between Coolangatta and Burleigh Heads. Beneath the penthouse, Kirra Point Holiday Apartments extends this project’s amenity with a 25-metre pool, gym and barbecue areas creating a communal resort-style experience. Above it all, however, Rise distinguishes itself as a home in the sky, an escape held aloft by design vision, setting a new benchmark for Kirra’s evolving shoreline.
