ABI Interiors was born from the recognition of a gap in the plumbing and hardware market – an opportunity to make luxury pieces more accessible. Co-Founder Luli Farrell explains that the brand “at its core, is a family business. My two brothers and I had a desire to make high-quality interior products accessible for the wider community.” This idea of high-end hardware is not simply based in aesthetics and trends. In-house design and quality control processes allow for work that is both inventive and considered, anticipating the needs of consumers and appealing to industry professionals. With this approach, ABI Interiors has released the Sola Collection, an Outdoor Shower Set, and a Stainless Steel Range, available in four finishes: Brushed Brass, Brushed Copper, Brushed Gunmetal and Stainless Steel. “The Sola Collection was inspired with the idea to bring our high-quality products outdoors and still be able to assure longevity,” explains Luli. “Currently in market there aren’t many coloured options like it, so it is so exciting to be able to offer this to our customers and at quite an affordable price point.”

The Outdoor Shower Set is sleek. The attention paid to the shower’s functional elements makes for a beautifully designed piece. A large 250-millimetre shower head alludes to the aforementioned luxury, while practicalities are covered by the separate hand shower option (with convenient diverter button) and a hot and cold mixer. Luli describes the Outdoor Shower Set as “the perfect summer solution to any home with an outdoor area, allowing you to rinse off after a dip in the pool or clean family pets or children.” Designed for the outdoors, the product is made from high-quality 316 Grade stainless steel. The pieces with Brushed Brass, Brushed Copper and Brushed Gunmetal finishes then undergo a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) Electro Colouring treatment. This anti-corrosive, rust resistant material and its high-tech finishes can withstand prolonged exposure to the elements.

The Stainless Steel Range is also made from 316 Grade stainless steel and treated with PVD. This range is designed to complement the Outdoor Shower Set, offering flexibility with its individual components that are applicable to a variety of spaces, both indoor and outdoor. Wall mounted minimalism is achieved via Sola spouts, mixers and shower heads. These pieces feature no extraneous details – they are entirely streamlined, beautiful in their simplicity. The entire Stainless Steel Range is offered in the same four finishes as the Outdoor Shower Set (Brushed Brass, Brushed Copper, Brushed Gunmetal and Stainless Steel), for design cohesion throughout a home.

ABI Interiors favours stainless steel for its capacity as a sustainable material. The lead-free, recyclable alloy is a construction base for every product within the Sola Collection. The collection has been made to meet strict Australian guidelines regarding water use and is built to last (ABI Interiors offer warranties of up to 25 years). Luli adds, “many of our products hold a high WELS star rating reducing water and energy consumption.” Conscious choices, like opting for Dezincification Resistant Brass, “instead of cheaper alternatives such as Plastic ABS or Standard Metal,” demonstrate the company’s staunch commitment to lasting quality.
