Tongue & Groove Launches a New Era of Flooring
Working with a quartet of the world’s brightest design minds, Tongue & Groove is launching Co.Lab, a stunning collection of European oak flooring that sets new standards in design.
Australian premier flooring company Tongue & Groove is launching Co.Lab, a series of collaborations with a cache of leading Australian and international creatives. “We’re very proud to unveil Co.Lab, an initiative that combines the brand’s precision engineering with the groundbreaking creativity of the world’s most celebrated and visionary designers,” says Richard Karsay, Tongue & Groove’s CEO.
The first collection, revealed this month, is the result of a collaboration with Australian interior designer Greg Natale, whose opulent, colour-saturated projects have earned him a global reputation. The stellar roll call also includes probably the country’s most famous design figure, Catherine Martin, Yasmine Ghoniem of award-winning YSG Studio, and Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay of the acclaimed London-based Raw-Edges Design Studio, whose client list includes Louis Vuitton, Kvadrat and Vitra.
Co.Lab aims to revolutionise the industry by creating flooring that challenges conventions and sets new standards in design, says Karsay. “The initiative emerged from our relentless pursuit of innovation. It’s about pushing the boundaries of what flooring can be and giving visionary talents a platform to bring their unique artistry to life. By aligning Co.Lab with globally acclaimed creative icons, we aim to not only set new standards of luxury but also to redefine the essence of what flooring can represent.”
Each collection reflects its creator’s preoccupations as a designer, combining exquisite craftsmanship with avant-garde design. “Through creative partnerships with these designers, Co.Lab transcends traditional flooring concepts, transforming them into bespoke, artistic masterpieces. Each Co.Lab collection is a curated experience, reflecting the distinctive creativity of its designer.”
