Trit House Launches Imagination at Play Range
Balancing bold design and comfort, the new Imagination at Play collection from Trit House offers customers the freedom to express their personality through furniture that evolves with their lifestyles.
Bold colours and enduring designs sit at the core of Imagination at Play, the dynamic new collection from Trit House. Each piece has been developed or chosen by the furniture designer and retailer to offer customers the freedom to express their personality through vibrant furniture and homewares that evolve over the years in tandem with their lifestyle. “This collection was inspired by the dynamic nature that our homes take on,” says Ivan Yoong, Trit House’s director. “Each piece is designed to capture this fluidity, blending function with personality. The textures, colours and forms are all meant to resonate with the changing rhythms of life, creating a harmonious balance between comfort, creativity and individuality.”
Spanning from sofas to sideboards, dining tables to vases, the comprehensive range is intended to be endlessly adaptable, melding comfort with sophisticated design. The collection features pieces from Trit House’s own designers, as well as local and international designers and maisons including Fermob, Sketch Interior, Tolv and Natadora. Textural materials – like a quilted fabric on a sofa, glossy marble honed into a coffee table and soft linen upholstery on a dining chair – encourage a sense of playfulness.
“We’ve incorporated natural, earthy textures that add depth without overwhelming the senses,” says Yoong. “The material choices are meant to ground the pieces, allowing them to blend seamlessly into any home while still standing out in their craftsmanship and quality. And they echo the core philosophy of the collection: that a home should evolve with its inhabitants and evoke a sense of self.”
While warm neutral colourways dominate the collection, bolder tones are interspersed throughout to layer in visual interest. “By presenting the pieces in more bold colour choices, we invite our customers to be bold when choosing furniture.” Each piece easily slots into a variety of architectural styles – though they’re well suited to the flow and movement of open-plan spaces, they are also complementary to cosier settings.
The collection’s modular sofas are particularly appropriate for these smaller spaces. Yoong highlights the Slipper sofa, by New Zealand designer Cameron Foggo for Natadora, as a stand-out piece. Its organic lines and crescent shape bring to mind the low-slung lounges of the 1970s; flexibility is in-built into the design, with multiple modules available to build and adapt the piece as needed.
Other stand-outs include the minimalist Tansu sideboard, crafted from natural oak with a geometric facade of repeated patterns of round-edged squares, and the Crescent dining table, carved from Breccia Bluette marble with striking natural veining. The angular Causeway V2 L-shaped sofa by and Marco Ferriani and Sara Sbolgi of Ferriani Sbolgi can be endlessly reconfigured, as can the Pambula L-shaped sofa, a luxurious piece of furniture by Sydney-based Patryk Koca. The cleverly designed Solace full armchair offers comfortable luxury around the dining table, as well as smart features such as a pull handle to avoid repeat handling of the upholstery.
“Each piece strikes a balance between bold design and comforting familiarity,” says Yoong. “With this collection we wanted to create an environment that feels lived-in and intentional.”
