About
‘Apparition Architecture’ is a Master of Architecture Honours project created by Kate Waddington. It involves the intersection of painting and architecture and interrogates shadow and light as ephemeral elements of design.
The installation is a projection-based exhibition that involves interior objects and the existing spaces of the Wilkinson building. This interactive installation focuses on perceptual phenomena as digital simulations of shadows documented over time are read against the spatial surroundings of the Hearth. The public is encouraged to observe how subtle projections shift within the room challenging visual perceptions of familiar forms and surfaces.
